Risen 2

O fantasy RPG τίτλος Risen 2 θα κάνει την εμφάνισή του σε PC, Xbox 360 και PlayStation 3, σε αντίθεση με το πρώτο μέρος της σειράς που είχε… αγνοήσει το σύστημα οικιακής ψυχαγωγίας της Sony. Μέχρι στιγμής δε γνωρίζουμε αν η παραγωγή θα κάνει την εμφάνισή της εντός του 2011 ή όχι, αφού η εκδότρια εταιρία δήλωσε μόνο πως θα κυκλοφορήσει σε όλες τις αγορές ταυτόχρονα.

Το Risen 2 θα εξιστορεί τα γεγονότα που λαμβάνουν χώρα μετά το τέλος του πρώτου μέρους, όπου και οι Titans έχουν καταστρέψει τον κόσμο και έχουν φτάσει την ανθρωπότητα στα όρια της εξαφάνισης. Ο παίκτης λαμβάνει μέρος ως ήρωας που καλείται να δώσει ένα τέλος, χρησιμοποιώντας κάθε διαθέσιμο μέσο.

The german magazine Gamestar has a 4 page preview of of a playable Version of Risen 2.

here are the new infos and pros and cons:

Facts:
- "hand made" world
- about the size of Gothic 3
- travel between islands via boats (requires loading time)
- special movement skills ("dirty tricks")
- combat system multi-direction with recovery time
- firearms can be improved with special ammunition
- crafting, including improved weapons
- much more clothes and equipments
- ability to disable the "helper" functions, such as quest markers and life bar
- 5 attributes and /- 75 active and passive skills
- players experiencing by themselves will be rewarded with amazing results (?)
- alcohol and women play an important role

Strengths:
several possibilities of solution
varied combat system
polyvalent equipment options
strong narrative component
more quests with twists

Weaknesses:
- to be seen how the world remains "open" with respect to the structure of the islands
- the identification with the hero may suffer for lack of strict system for factions

Προβληματα στις εκδοσεις για κονσολες:
PC performance is mostly where it should be, but the console version is a bit rougher. Both had framerate issues, but the console one looks months behind, with jagged visuals and a lot of missing or somewhat broken animations.
