Gamers will find themselves graced with a 3D representation of their car in front of a vividly animated backdrop of a city of their choice from a list of locations. A clock and temperature read-out shows the current time and temperature reading of the location you set. A calendaralso displays upcoming racing events.

Driving in the game feels natural and maintains the series philosophy on realism, so don't expect your car to make a tight u-turn at 80 mph. Likewise, if you drive on the grass, expect a huge delay getting back onto the track. Just like its predecessors and in reality, your tires are going to lose a lot of traction while in that sand pit.

The old physics based system that served the previous four games well has been removed and replaced with a much more detailed and accurate system. The entire graphics system has also received a much-needed overhaul. Yamauchi, one of the creators of the series, has claimed that the new engineis so powerful, a professional drifter was able to perform manoeuvres inside the game similar to the one's he performed during races.

The game's AI has also received significant improvements in order to keep racers on their toes. However, as the series has had a reputation of being difficult, the game will include two difficulties, standard and professional. Both are designed to make the game challenging, but standard should allow beginners to the series some breathing space.

Τελικά δεν άντεξα και το πήρα από το Jap-store(κατεβαίνει τώρα) ... βάζω εδώ την διαδικασία αν ενδιαφέρεται και κάποιος άλλος.

Αγόρασα την network card των 5000 yen από ebay (κόστισε 41 ευρώ) και έμειναν 500 στο account (νομίζω δεν φτάνουν όμως για να αγοράσεις κάτι άλλο)

Αυτός μου έστειλε τον κωδικό με μήνυμα στο ebay σε 10 ώρες και ήταν εντάξει... πάντως το δίνει 10 ευρώ πιο ακριβό από όσο είναι η ισοτιμία.

Στο Jap store έγραφα τι πατούσα μέχρι να πετύχω το σωστό menu για τον κωδικό της psn-card ... αν κάνεις λάθος πρέπει να βγεις από το store γιατί εξαφανίζεται προσωρινά το Gt5.

Πρώτα πατάς στην εικόνα του GT5 prologue αριστερά στο store.
Μετά την αριστερή εικόνα, η δεξιά γράφει trailer
Στο πάνω menu, το αριστερό από τα δύο κουμπιά
Βγάζει την τιμή ... πατάς το δεξί button
Ξανά βγάζει την τιμή , δεξί κουμπί
Τώρα έχει 2 επιλογές, την πάνω
3 επιλογές, την κάτω
Αφού γράψεις τον κωδικό , πατάς το δεξί από τα 3 button
Ξανά 3 επιλογές , το δεξιά
Μια επιλογή , πατάς
2 επιλογές, διαλέγεις την δεξιά
Τώρα έχει την επιλογή για download

Eπειδή το thread με το GT5 είναι ήδη γεμάτο σκέφτηκα ότι ένα πιο "καθαρό" thread αποκλειστικά και μόνο για το GT5P θα ήταν ότι πρέπει μιας και απ' ότι βλέπω θα παίξουμε πολλοί στα γιαπωνέζικα.

The official GT 5 Prologue site has just been updated with a few surprises and statistics. Firstly, there's going to be a total of 37 cars and 5 tracks (with 2 versions of each) - the course list is now Daytona, Fuji, Suzuka, London and the Eiger mountain track from GT HD. However, the game will only ship with offline racing, consisting of arcade races, time trials, and a series of 24 events over 3 categories, presumably to win money and cars.

The online features will arrive on the 25th of December as a free download, and will have additional online-only events, time trials and ranking boards, plus the ability to download ghosts and view car dealer histories.

To χω βάλει και στο online στο πρώτο. Μάλλον θέλουν χρόνο για τους servers? Ποιος ξέρει... Θα δούμε. Δε νομίζω να είναι τόσο μεγάλο πρόβλημα. Το πρόβλημα μου είναι τα 37 αμάξια!

Famitsu Review Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 39/40

Famitsu - the Japanese Magazine that eclipses the rest, the one we’re all waiting to hear from. They have now reviewed Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the Playstation 3, and it wouldn’t be inaccurate to say that it eclipses all other racing games around it.
Famitsu scored Forza 2 36/40 and PGR4 33/40 - both extremely respectable scores. They have, however, scored GT5 Prologue 39/40 - that is 10, 10, 9 and 10.


That is some pretty glowing scores right there, for a game that is practically only a taster of the full Gran Turismo 5. I expect they’re holding back that fourth perfect score for the arrival of Polyphony Digital’s full flung beast.

An incredible looking game running at 1080p 60fps, with the best car models you have ever seen and with an updated physics model to make it the most realistic driving simulator ever. Polyphony Digital are Gods.

The arrival of the London track is something else, which will see you passing through Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. It looks incredible and is such a good addition to the series. Really we can’t wait.

Famitsu Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Review *Articles*

Το Famitsu, το Γιαπωνέζικο αυτό περιοδικό έκανε το πρώτο Review για το Gran Turismo 5 Prologue και απλά κάνουμε μια μετάφραση μερικά σχόλια που γράψανε στο περιοδικό με το ποιο έντονο απόσπασμα από αυτό το άρθρο να είναι το παρακάτω
“…Δεν θα ήταν ντροπή να πούμε ότι το παιχνίδι “κατατροπώνει” όλα τα άλλα παιχνίδια με αγώνες αυτοκινήτων που έχουν κυκλοφορήσει.”

Στο Famitsu το Forza 2 βαθμολογήθηκε 36/40 και το PGR4 33/40 (Το όποιο είναι και λίγο άσχετο μέσα στην υπόθεση για το ότι μιλάμε για Simulators και όχι για Arcade τίτλους. Απλά μόνο και μόνο για την σύγκριση των γραφικών.) Οι παραπάνω βαθμολογίες φυσικά είναι εξαιρετικές. Παρόλα αυτά το GT5 Prologue βαθμολογήθηκε με 39/40!!! Αυτό πάει να πει 10/10/9/10.

Αυτό είναι πραγματικά ένα εξαιρετικό score και φτάνει να φανταστούμε ότι το παιχνίδι δεν είναι ακόμα ολοκληρωμένο. Νομίζουμε ότι η Polyphony Digital κρύβει ακόμα και άλλους “άσσους” στο μανίκι της για να φτάσει τον τίτλο στο 100% στην βαθμολογία.

Ένα πραγματικά απίστευτο και τρομερό παιχνίδι το όποιο τρέχει στα 1080p/60fps, με τα καλυτέρα μοντέλα αυτοκινήτων να κάνουν την εμφάνιση τους και με καινούρια και ανανεωμένα physics για να κάνουν ποιο ρεαλιστική και απολαυστική την οδήγηση στον παίχτη από οποιανδήποτε άλλη εμπειρία! Απλά είναι Θεοί στην Polyphony Digital.

PSU.com Stealth Edit GT5 Prologue Preview - No Car Damage

We’re not here to make enemies, but seeing PSU.com take a complete 180 turn on their original mention of car damage, is disconcerting - especially when their original article was so certain in its inclusion.
Their original paragraph read:

Many fans of the series may also be pleased to learn that damage modeling has finally been implemented with Prologue. On the whole, the damage effects are quite realistic and we can safely say that the days of the Gran Turismo series being called a ‘bumper car simulator’ are over.

It now reads:

Still, many fans will be disappointed to learn that damage modeling has yet to be implemented, and it is currently unknown whether or not the final build will contain this element.

Just wow. That’s some major edit. From telling us that the actual damage modeling looks “quite realistic” when they hadn’t actually seen it, to saying that it hasn’t yet been implemented.

Tο έλεγα εγώ απο προχτές για να μην ξεχνιόμαστε:frog:, σιγά μην είχε damage και δεν είχαν γεμίσει το τόπο με διαφημίσεις απο την καινούρια engine του παιχνιδιού.
Πάντως ακόμη και έτσι το παιχνίδι σκίζει. Οψώμεθα για το GT 5 το ολόκληρο όσον αφορά το damage.

Στο βιντεάκι στο 1:09 λέει πως πολύ πιθανόν να υπάρχει ως dl update ακόμα και στο προλόγκ, αλλά μάλλον όχι με την κυκλοφορία.
